Vinod denies report

HYDERABAD: Labour and Employment Minister G. Vinod has denied reports quoting him as saying, during his tour to interior areas of Adilabad district on Sunday, that he has advised Gond tribals not to opt for family planning and instead increase their population to offset the deaths caused by diseases.

At a press conference here on Monday, he said during his extensive tour of the viral fever-affected habitations, i he found Gonds, both men and women, to be anaemic. He had, therefore, called upon them to postpone family planning operations till their general health improved
