25 child workers rescued

ERODE: The Labour Welfare Department has rescued 25 child labourers in Erode

district.

Labour Inspector C. Thangavel and other officials conducted raid in Surampatty, Surampattyvalasu, Sangunagar, Perundurai Road, Mettur Road, Vairapalayam, Municipal Water Works road, Madhava Krishna street, Bhavani, Perundurai, Gobichettipalayam, Sathyamangalam, Dharapuram and Vellakoil on Saturday and Sunday. They found 25 children, below the age of 14, were working in some industries and business establishments. They were rescued and cases were registered against the owners.
