What they say
D. Sudhakara Reddy
D. Sudhakara Reddy, President, Air Passengers Association of India:
“As much as 90 per cent of Chennai’s air travellers now book their tickets through electronic reservations. E-ticketing has been a great boon as it has helped air-fares become much lower. It has also made it easier for passengers to make their flight choices. Now, you can easily compare airfares across airlines before you buy, without depending on travel agents. You can also get your ticket right at your own home without the hassle of going to an airline office. There are, however, serious security concerns that have to be dealt with. Passengers with e-tickets are often entering airports without proper identification checks, which is a major problem.”
