Karnataka, Railways in last four

VIJAYAWADA: Indian Railways and Karnataka advanced to the semifinals by virtue of their first-innings lead against Punjab and Mumbai respectively in the all-India senior women’s inter-zonal cricket tournament at Anantapur on Monday.

Karnataka will face Indian Railways and Delhi will meet Maharashtra in the semifinals which begin on Wednesday. Tuesday is a rest day.

The scores: Indian Railways 384 for two in 90 overs drew with Punjab 208 for nine in 84.4 overs (Renu Margret 46).

Mumbai 151 and 45 for one in 14 overs drew with Karnataka 163 for seven in 90 overs (Karuna Jain 70 n.o). — Sports Reporter
