The participating bands include Shankar, Ehsaan and Loy from Mumbai; Strings from Pakistan; Advaita from Delhi; Bangla Fusion Band from Bangladesh; Stigmata from Sri Lanka; and East India Company from Assam.

Speaking about the upcoming festival, Sanjeev Bhargava, Festival Director and founder of Seher, says: “We are proud that the SAARC bands festival will help in increasing the people-to-people contact between the artistes of the region and the youth of India will get an insight into the immense talent that exists in our region.”

Besides entertaining Generation X, the festival will also present a platform for spreading awareness of the development of SAARC over the years among the youth, at the same time celebrating the unity and spirit of the SAARC countries.
