Delhi Coop Societies Act amended

NEW DELHI: In a move that could provide a great deal of relief to thousands of people in the Capital awaiting allotment of cooperative group housing society flats, the Delhi Cabinet on Tuesday approved amendment of Section 127 of the Delhi Cooperative Societies Act, 2003.

Urban Development Minister Raj Kumar Chauhan said through the amendment an effort had been made to provide relief to those members of the CGHSs who had been awaiting allotment of their flats due to certain violation of the rules committed by some managing committees.
