Seventy six persons were arrested on November 26 by the City Police in various parts of Madras city in connection with the Dravida Kazhagam’s campaign for burning copies of the Indian Constitution. They were arrested under the provisions of the Prevention of Insults to National Honour Act, 1957, which was recently enacted.
