Murali pledges not to leave NCP

Staff Reporter

Thrissur: Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) State president K. Muraleedharan has said that he will never leave the party.

He was addressing a district conference of the Nationalist Youth Congress here on Tuesday. “I will never leave the NCP and cheat its president Sharad Pawar. There are people who say I will defect to the Congress after three months. They are wrong. I will not return to the Congress because of family ties. My father, K. Karunakaran, has advised me to be consistent and not to show ingratitude to those who helped me. The Congress leadership is playing games with him over his return to the party. Whoever joins or returns to the Congress, it will not be set right,” he said.
