Two deported from Abu Dhabi
Kochi: Two persons were deported to the Cochin International Airport from Abu Dhabi on Tuesday. Sasi, 30, a resident of Kasaragod, was deported after it was found that he had on his previous visit to the Gulf State had overstayed by one-and-a-half-years and worked as a construction worker in breach of the visa provisions. Subsequently, he returned home in 2004 on an out pass, thereby attracting a life-long ban on re-entry, emigration sources said. Anwar, 32, from Malappuram, had worked as a servant for seven years before returning early this year after cancelling his visa. An entry ban was imposed on him, though the exact reasons are not known, sources said. – Staff Reporter
