Colgate declares Rs. 6 interim dividend

CHENNAI: Colgate-Palmolive (India) Ltd. has announced a first interim dividend of Rs. 6 per share for 2007-08 on the reduced face value of equity share of Re. 1 each. The dividend pay-out to the shareholders will be Rs. 81.6 crore (Rs. 95.5 crore inclusive of dividend distribution tax). For 2006-07, the company had paid two interim dividends aggregating to Rs. 7.50 per share and a one-time Special 70th anniversary dividend of Rs. 2 per share, for a total of Rs. 9.50 per share, says a release.
