Stipend sanctioned

The State Government has allocated Rs. 3.73 crores towards stipends for BC students for 2007-08 in Krishna district, according to Joint Collector S. Suresh Kumar. Addressing a meeting here on Tuesday, Mr. Suresh Kumar said stipends worth Rs. 1.95 crores were released to 12,467 BC students in the district. Similarly, stipends worthRs. 1.54 crores would be sanctioned to 7,468 new students
