Governor swoons at function
Special Correspondent
HYDERABAD: Governor N.D. Tiwari swooned while addressing the general body of the State unit of the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) at the Raj Bhavan.
However, he bounced back within three minutes after a doctor diagnosed him for hypoglycaemia and gave him a chocolate and a can of fruit juice. From the podium again, he said, “I am all right. I know that if I need transfusion, all of you here will come forward to donate your blood.”
The instantaneous treatment was administered by a doctor from Warangal, Sampath Rajaram, who is also the Secretary of the Warangal unit of IRCS. It was later known that the Governor had missed out on breakfast and felt stressed by standing for nearly 45 minutes to present over a 100 medals and certificates.
