Police officers promoted

CHENNAI: The State Government on Tuesday promoted three Additional Superintendents of Police (AdSP) as Superintendents of Police (SP) and posted a new Deputy Commissioner for Flower Bazaar district in Chennai. .

The AdSPs promoted are D. Krishnamoorthy, who has been made Deputy Commissioner (DC), Headquarters, Coimbatore City, M. Manohar, whose new posting is DC, Traffic (Central), Chennai Police, and K. Thondiraj, who will be the SP, Crime Branch-1, CID, Chennai.

S.V. Karuppasamy is the new DC, Flower Bazaar.

S. Muthusamy is the SP of the newly-formed Ariyalur district.

P. Sakthivelu, DC, Law and Order, Salem City, has been transferred and posted as SP, Idol Wing CID, Chennai, vice S. Baskaran, who has been posted as SP, Economic Offences Wing, Headquarters, Chennai, in the place of R. Chinnasamy, who has been transferred to Salem City as DC, Law and Order.
