‘Two parties willing to join BSP in Kerala’

Staff Reporter

Kozhikode: Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) general secretary Suresh Mane said the Left Democratic Front government in the State has failed to solve the issues of Scheduled Castes and tribal people, minorities and other neglected sections of society.

He told presspersons here on Wednesday that the government should look into the issues of rehabilitation of tribal people at Chinnakkanal in Idukki district. Though issued “pattayams” (title deeds), they had not been able to take possession of their land till now.

He said that two political parties were willing to join the BSP in Kerala, but refused to divulge their names. His party’s stand in Kerala was to stand alone in elections, without joining the LDF or UDF.
