SFI activists’ fast

KANNUR: Kerala Sahithya Akademi president M. Mukundan has called upon students to resist communalism and religious extremism. Inaugurating a fast organised by the Students Federation of India (SFI), as part of its campaign against communalism here on Wednesday, Mr. Mukundan said society was communalised when some people used religion as a shortcut to power. These sections were using religious faith to propagate extremism, he said. Kannur University V-C P. Chandramohan and artist Ponnyam Chandran spoke.
