This Day That Age
The study team for community development and National Extension Services, headed by Mr. Balwantraj G. Mehta has recommended, in its report, just published, that the emphasis in regard to community development should shift without delay to the “more demanding aspects of economic development” from welfare activities. The study team was appointed by the Committee on Plan Projects in December 1956 to study and report on the community projects and National Extension Service with a view to ensuring economy and efficiency with specific reference to the content of the programme and priorities assigned to different fields of activity.
