Corrections and clarifications

In a report “Award for Chief Justice of England and Wales” (November 25, 2007), the caption of the accompanying photograph, showing the award recipients, described S. Prabhakaran as Vice-Chairman of the Bar Council of India (BCI). Mr. S. Radhakrishnan, Secretary, Bar Council of India, clarifies that Mr. Prabhakaran has nothing to do with the BCI. The Vice-Chairman of the BCI is Mr. Jai Ram Beniwal of Jodhpur. The Legal Correspondent clarifies that Mr. Prabhakaran, as mentioned in the report, is organising secretary of the International Council of Jurists. The error was made by the photographer.
