Nalini, Preetinder, Saaniya in lead

NEW DELHI: Nalini Singh sunk two birdies but eight bogeys put her down a bit as she shared a three-way lead with Preetinder Kaur and Saaniya Sharma with a card of six-over 78 after the first round in the 6th leg of the DLF Women’s pro golf tour at the Noida Golf Course near here on Wednesday.

Two strokes behind was the trio of Shalini Malik, Nonita Lall Qureshi and Irina Brar.

The scores: Nalini Singh, Preetinder Kaur and Saaniya Sharma 78, Shalini Malik, Nonita Lall Qureshi and Irina Brar 80, Nikita Jadeja 83. — Principal Correspondent
