BANGALORE: Corps of Military Police and Madras Engineering Group (Boys) played out a 1-1 draw in the first fixture of the State ‘B’ division hockey round-robin league of phase two. Rahul (22nd) scored first for MEG (Boys) and Kamal Horo (50th) scored the equaliser for CMP. In an ‘A’ division encounter, Rail Wheel Factory beat Reserve Bank of India 5-0 with Riaz (29th & 59th) notching up a brace supported by Girish Ganapathy (21st), Franklin (35th) and Jayaraj (38th). In the ongoing senior women’s League, Zenith Hockey Club beat Mount Carmel College 2-0. Aparna (8th and 20th) slotted a double for Zenith Hockey Club. DK U-13 cricketTrials for the Dakshina Kannada U-13 cricket team for the inter-district tournament will be held on December 2 at Nehru Maidan, Mangalore.
