Cash reward for two women constables

They helped an old woman attend a grievance meeting in Chromepet
TAMBARAM: The Police Commissioner, Nanchil Kumaran, has announced a cash reward of Rs.1,000 each to the two women police constables, who helped an old woman attend a grievance meeting conducted in Chromepet on Tuesday.
The Hindu carried a report ‘Financial aid…’ on page 5 on Wednesday with an accompanying photograph.
The photograph, which was taken by A. Muralitharan, showed two women police constables carrying an old woman seated on a plastic chair to the venue of the meeting .
Following this, Mr. Kumaran announced a cash reward of Rs. 1,000 each to the constables — Nirmala of Chromepet police station and Kamakshi of the Pallikaranai police station, said V. Varadharaju, Deputy Commissioner of Police, St. Thomas Mount.
