“For not improving infrastructure in their hospitals” NEW DELHI: The Delhi High Court on Wednesday pulled up the Centre and the Delhi Government for not improving infrastructure in their hospitals here despite the Court passing several directions in the past. A Division Bench of the Court comprising Justice M. K. Sharma and Justice Sanjiv Khanna passed stricture against the governments while hearing a bunch of public interest litigations seeking direction for improving the infrastructure in these hospitags. The Bench also pulled up employees of these hospitals for going on strike despite directions by the Court banning strikes in hospitals. “The employees have been merrily resorting to strike quite frequently despite the fact that there are court orders prohibiting it,” the Bench said. The Bench later directed the Director-General of Health Services to hold a meeting with Delhi’s Principal Secretary (Health) to discuss a suggestion by the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences to refer patients suffering from neurological disease for surgery and kidney patients for dialysis to the hospitals run by the State Government and file a reply in case of it being not able to take care of them due to its limited infrastructure.
