Woman beaten up by husband’s first wife

HYDERABAD: A.S. Rama Reddy, 39, who was staging a demonstration near a doctor’s house in Hayathnagar alleging that he had married her hiding his first marriage, was beaten up by his first wife and children on Wednesday. The Hayathnagar police registered a case against the doctor’s family.

Rama Reddy also alleged that she had lost Rs. 1,000 during the attack prompting the police to invoke section of theft against the doctor’s family. According to her, the doctor had deceitfully married her in 1996 hiding his first marriage and she had two children through him.

She claimed that recently, she came to know that Yadaiah was already married and had four children and was planning to give away his entire property to them. She continued her demonstration till evening when the doctor’s first wife and her children allegedly attacked her.
