Jharkhand posts win

Dindigul: Jharkhand registered a 2-0 victory over Assam in the quarterfinal Group II league of the sixth girls’ junior National football championship here on Wednesday.

Jharkhand took the lead in the 38th minute thanks to a powerful 30 yarder from Shanti Papeya. Malti Kumari scored the second in the 70th minute off a fine cross from Santosh Bakhla from the left.
