KANNUR: The North Malabar Railway Users’ Forum (NMRUF) has urged the railway authorities to extend the Kannur-Yashwanthpur Express to Bangalore. NMRUF general secretary P. Natarajan said in a press release that the forum raised the demand in a representation submitted to Palakkad Divisional Railway Manager A.K. Harith when he came here recently. The railway authorities assured the NMRUF that steps were already under way for the beautification of the railway station here. A booking centre would be set up at the place where goods shed had stood before it was demolished, the release said.
