Public info campaign from Dec. 15

Kakinada: The Directorate of Field Publicity of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and the Press Information Bureau are conducting a five-day Bharat Nirman public information campaign (PIC) at Balayogi Pranganam at Amalapuram from December 15 to 19. As a prelude to it, a pre-PIC is being organised in six mandals from December 6 to 11. In this regard, District Collector M. Subrahmanyam reviewed the arrangements in a meeting along with the Field Publicity Officer M.S. Mahesh and other officials of the departments concerned.
The pre-information campaign will be organised in Amalapuram, Kothapeta, Ambajipeta, Allavaram, Ainavilli and Mummidivaram mandals. The Collector stated in the meeting that the campaign was aimed at disseminating information to the targeted beneficiaries of the welfare programmes being implemented by the Central Government.
Stalls put up at the venue by various departments of the Central and the State Governments and other agencies, will provide detailed information on how to avail of the government schemes. Seminars and symposia, field programmes, distribution of assets and medical camps would form part of the five-day event.
