Srinagar: Air traffic between Srinagar and other parts of the country remained suspended for the fourth day on Thursday as all flights, including two scheduled to carry Haj pilgrims to Saudi Arabia, were cancelled due to dense fog in the Kashmir valley. However, the minimum temperature in the valley appreciated by over two degrees to reach minus 2.5 degrees Celsius on Wednesday night. All the 14 outbound flights from here including the special Indian flight to Jeddah were cancelled due to low ground visibility, an official of the Airport Authority of India told PTI. He said during the past four days, only one Haj flight operated from here on Tuesday. Air passengers to various destinations around the country who have been stranded at the airport have now started taking the arduous 300-km road journey to Jammu in order to escape the inhospitable weather conditions. He said day temperatures fell to 11 degrees on Wednesday. PTI
