Godavari, Visakha trains delayed

VISAKHAPATNAM: Trains bound for the twin cities, Godavari Express and Visakha Express, suffered detention for nearly two hours near Visakhapatnam as a fracture in one of the rails was detected between Duvvada and Tadi stations, about 35 km from the city.
As the area comes under the Vijayawada division of the SC Railway, workers from the nearby stations took up repair works and replaced the damaged portion of the track.
Through traffic was restored around 6.55 p.m.
Railway sources said they did not suspect any sabotage as it was only a rail break.
The passengers of Rajahmundry bound passenger train from here had to face lot of hardship as the train left after a delay of more than two hours.
