Engine online rapid loading system inaugurated

ADILABAD: S. Narsing Rao, Chairman and Managing Director of Singareni Collieries on Thursday inaugurated the engine online rapid loading system or pre- weigh wagon loading system at the Srirampur coal handling plant.
The system supplied by Merit technologies India Private Limited, Chennai, cuts down coal loading time in the rake by about three hours.
Cost
To load the 58 rakes with coal it takes five hours in the old system while for the new system it took only 2 hours.
The cost of the new system is Rs. 3.55 crore, according to Mr. Prabhakar of the Merit Technologies. The Railways expects revenue collection to up in the light of the development.
