BANGALORE: Sports Authority of India (Madikere) and Directorate of Youth Services and Sports (Mysore) set up a title clash in the State Seniors’ women’s hockey tournament with facile wins in the semifinals here on Thursday. SAI beat Zenith 4-0 with Lekha (2nd, 3rd and 8th) notching up a quick hat-trick and Saroja (30th) adding to the winner’s tally. In the second semifinal DYSS beat Sports School (Kudige) 4-1. Bolamma (2nd), Prema (11th), Sukhi (31st) and Kruthika (37th) scored for DYSS while Bhavani (11th) scored a consolation goal for Sports School. The final is slated for 4 pm on Friday. In the State men’s ‘B’ division round robin matches Corps of Military Police swamped Hassan Hockey Club 11-0. Manoj Tirkey scored four goals (8th, 25th, 39th and 69th), Geeta Ranjit Singh (12th, 25th & 54th) and Kamal Horo (23rd, 44th & 57th) had a treble each and Albis Dhan (43rd) also scored. Dhanavanthri (21st) and Dinesh (50th) scored for Hassan Hockey Club. In another fixture, Madras Engineering Group (Boys) and South Western Railways (Hubli) played out a 2-2 draw. Micky (19th ) and Chamraj (42nd) scored for MEG (boys), while Manjunath Jadhav (46th) and Kiran Gadge (60th) scored for South Western Railway.
