Man commits suicide
A 25-year-old man hanged himself to death in his hostel room at Dilsukhnagar on Wednesday.
The police said Shaik Majid (25), a native of Nellore took the drastic step in a depression after his parents allegedly refused his marriage proposal with his girlfriend. Majid, who completed Hotel Management course came to the city recently, according to police.
Pedestrian killed
A welder was killed after he was run over by a van near his house at Hassannagar in Rajendranagar on Wednesday. Syed Multan (38) was crossing the road when the accident occurred, the police said.
Chat vendor dies
A chat vendor died after the scooter on which he was riding collided with an unidentified vehicle
at NMDC crossroads at Masab Tank on Wednesday. G. Badrinath (40) was a resident of Lower Tank Bund.
Stolen property recovered
The Humayunnagar police on Thursday recovered stolen gold jewellery and mobile phone, all worth Rs. 2 lakh with the arrest of 27-year-old Majeed Khan.
