Man ‘kills’ son

HYDERABAD: An auto-rickshaw driver was allegedly murdered by his father following a drunken brawl in their house at Bhojagutta of Asifngar on Wednesday night.

The 21-year-old victim Prabhu reportedly got addicted to liquor and in an inebriated condition on Wednesday night he picked up a quarrel with his father Subhash, an auto-trolley driver and manhandled him. Meanwhile, Subhash’s younger son Srisailam, 19, who works as office boy, tried to pacify his brother. “. When Prabhu tried to strangle Srisailam, the father picked up a cricket stump and smashed him killing him on the spot,” Asifnagar police station Inspector Mohd. Jameel said.
