Exhibition: District Collector G. Theva Needhi Dhas looks at a live exhibit on evolution of man at Petit Seminaire Higher Secondary School in Puducherry on Friday. PUDUCHERRY: The primary section of Petit Seminaire Higher Secondary School at Uppalam was a scene of buzzing activity on Friday with children and teachers exhibiting a total of 347 exhibits as part of their first ever two-day Science Fest. According to a press release here, children had made models about the importance of tackling global warming, forest conservation, various monuments of Puducherry, medicinal garden, wildlife conservation, evolution of man from the stone-age to the present, globe and volcano. The school grounds had a giant model of Apollo 11 rocket and a giant dinosaur. District Collector G. Theva Needhi Dhas, who inaugurated the exhibition, appreciated the efforts of the students, teachers and parents. He said that teachers must encourage children to ask questions. Principal Father M.S. John Bosco and Vice-Principal Pascal Raj were present on the occasion. The exhibition would be open to members of the public on December 1.
