1.75 p.c. pregnant women AIDS-infected

Sangareddy: The district leprosy and Aids officer S. Bhaskar Rao addressing a press conference here on Friday said that the district has registered progress in the “Zero by 2007” project aiming in achieving HIV less child births. A pilot project that was started in Narsapur mandal has been extended to other mandals also, he said. He pointed out that out of the women that have come for government hospitals for delivery 1.75 have been infected by the virus. -Staff Reporter
