Man from Kadapa detained

KOCHI: Emigration officials at the Cochin International Airport at Nedumbassery on Friday detained an Andhra Pradesh resident on charges of passport forgery. Chengal Reddy, from Kadapa district, was detained when he arrived here from Kuwait.

He was using the passport of one Rafeeque of Kozhikode .

He was serving as a driver for an Arab employer who refused to handover his passport when he asked for leave to return home.

Following this, he secured a forged passport by paying 400 Dinars, emigration sources said.

Later, he was handed over to the Chengamanad police. Jalaal and Faizal, from Thrissur and Palakkad, were deported from Abu Dhabi, reportedly after the airport authorities detected that they were being blacklisted from entering the Gulf State.
