Tributes paid to Gurajada
VIZIANAGARAM: Gurajada Samskritika Samakhya observed the 92nd death anniversary of Mahakavi Gurajada Appa Rao at his home near the fort on Friday. The former principal of Government Sanskrit College, Manapragada Sesha Sai, and Chairman of Zilla Grandhalaya Samstha Rongali Pothanna lit the lamp and paid floral tributes at his portrait.
Later, writers, poets and other eminent personalities took out the writer’s belongings from his home in a procession that passed through the Three Lamps junction and Clock Tower to the M.R. College square where Collector B. Kishore, Municipal Chairperson M. Geetha, samakhya president P.V. Narasimha Raju and others garlanded his statue.
