Maoists put up road blocks in agency areas

Rampachodavaram: After a long gap Maoists tied banners and put road blocks in the East agency areas on Thursday night.
Incidentally the police are also conducting routine combing operations in the agency areas of Y. Ramavaram and Addateegala.
According to reports reaching Ramapachodavaram on Friday, Maoists put banners and huge trees across the road at Chavitidibbala, Panasala Palem main road in Y. Ramavaram mandal. The banners asked people to observe December 9 and 10 as ‘Shocking Days’ and also left some pamphlets in the area.
Addateegala CI Harikrishna confirmed Maoist movement in the area and said the special police parties were on high alert. He said they were conducting vehicle checks and also asking people, moving in these areas to register their names and addresses. From last two months, there had been no Maoist related incident in the district or agency area.
