Adjourned
BANGALORE: The Karnataka High Court on Friday adjourned hearing of a petition by N.R. Narayana Murthy, Chief Mentor of Infosys, seeking to quash all further proceedings against him by a Mysore court. The High Court had, on September 18, stayed the proceedings against Mr. Murthy initiated by the Mysore court following a complaint by the former Minister and MP, H.N. Nanje Gowda, that he (Mr. Murthy) had insulted the National Anthem by making certain remarks. Disputing Mr. Nanje Gowda’s contention, Mr. Murthy said a single judge of the High Court had earlier quashed proceed-ings against him initiated by a Bangalore court on a complaint filed by the Karnataka Vakilara Rak-shana Vedike. However, the Mysore court had failed to consider the High Court order. — Staff Reporter
