Hearing adjourned

Kochi: The Ernakulam principal sessions judge adjourned to December 4 the hearing on a petition seeking to attach the properties of the IPS officer Tomin J. Thachankary in connection with the disproportionate assets case filed against him. The petition was filed by V. Muraleedharan Nair, Superintendent of Police, Vigilance. The petition said it was revealed that the IPS officer possessed assets over and above his known source of income.

Meanwhile, Mr. Thachankary had filed a petition before the court pleading that he be given an opportunity to furnish sufficient security by way of bank guarantee or other security in lieu of attachment. — Special Correspondent
