Protest against atrocities on Adivasis

NEW DELHI: Activists of the All-India Progressive Women’s Association and the All-India Students’ Association besides other citizens’ groups will stage a protest demonstration at Assam Bhawan here on Saturday against the atrocities perpetrated on Adivasis in Guwahati.

In a statement, the All-India Progressive Women’s Association said the recent violence in the capital of Assam was directed at the tea-tribes who were demanding Scheduled Tribe status.
