Special Correspondent

JAIPUR: The Rajasthan pavilion at the fortnight-long India International Trade Fair which ended at Delhi’s Pragati Maidan earlier this week conducted business worth Rs.95 lakh, including the sale of items valued at Rs.23.50 lakh at the “Rajasthali” counter of the Rajasthan Small Industries Corporation.

Pavilion Director Ravi Agrawal said in a statement here that the handicraft items displayed at the various counters attracted visitors in large numbers, while the Business Information Centre set up in the pavilion evoked a “tremendous response”.

Mr. Agrawal said potentialinvestors evinced a keen interest in sectors such as tourism, energy, food processing, hotels, marble, cement and handicrafts.

“The entrepreneurs discussed about investments in the projects worth Rs.490 crore,” he said, adding that the State’s participation in the trade fair had significantly improved the prospects of investments in key sectors.
