Mixed day for Bangalore teams

BANGALORE: Bangalore teams had mixed fortunes in the men’s section of the Karnataka State senior inter-district volleyball championship at Belgaum.

While Bangalore Urban downed Kolar 25-17, 25-12, 25-15, Mandya proved too hot for Bangalore Rural winning in straight sets at 25-22, 25-18, 25-21.

In the women’s section Bangalore City won 25-7, 25-4, 25-6 without breaking into sweat over Bagalkote, while Mysore humbled Chickmagalur 25-7, 25-9, 25-10.
