Comedian’s serious act

The other day well-known comedian Johnny Lever was in the city. No. Not to regale the citizens with his inimitable humour this time. But to promote latest technology in heart surgeries made popular in the US by his friend and cardiac surgeon Nilesh U Patel. Hyderabad is a Hi-Tech city and it would be in the fitness of things to popularise Robotic heart surgeries here, felt Johnny. Making things easier for him is the Robotic Surgery wing in Care Hospital.

“Society has given me so much and I want to pay back through our Medical Mission by facilitating training in robotic heart surgery for doctors beginning with the State I belong to,” he said. Robotic minimally invasive cardiac surgeries would reduce the trauma of the patient, duration of hospital stay and associated complications of conventional heart surgery, Dr. Nilesh said in his presentation at Care Hospital.
