Cause for concern

The alarm bells are ringing. The recent slew of reports related to kidnapping of children in twin cities and elsewhere has put parents on-guard. The frequency with which such incidents are coming to light have added yet another cause of worry to the citizens who are already dealing with deteriorating security in public spaces, increasing number of thefts, robberies, not to speak of every day traffic jams and accidents. Living here is no longer what it used to be. They say things would only turn worse before turning better. Should one take solace in the maxim and hope for the better ?
