Varsity students’ union poll results

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Students Federation of India has claimed victory in 33 out of the 46 colleges under the University of Kerala where elections to students unions were held on Friday. According to a press note, the SFI-AISF combination bagged one college union. Out of the 79 university union councillor seats, the SFI bagged 48, the KSU, 17, the AISF, 5 and the ABVP, 4. AISF was able to win the union in two colleges where it contested on its own. The Kerala Students’ Union has claimed victory in more than 12 colleges. The KSU won 27 seats of university union councillor, the press note said.
