Court refers Maoist encounter case to three-judge Bench

HYDERABAD: A Division Bench of the A.P. Court comprising acting Chief Justice Bilal Nazki and Justice Ramesh Ranganathan on Friday referred the issue of disclosure of identity of the Greyhounds police personnel who participated in the encounter wherein Madhav, prominent figure of Maoist party was killed, to a Bench of three judges as it felt that serious important issues had arisen in the case.
It may be recalled that APCLC leader Bose filed a case seeking a direction to the police to register case against the persons who participated in the encounter. He alleged that the police killed the Maoist leader in cold blood. The case came up for hearing on Friday and it was referred to the three-judge-bench to be constituted by Tuesday.
