Advanced Mirco Devices chief calls on Chief Minister
HYDERABAD: Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) Dr. Hector de J. Ruiz called on the Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy on Friday.
A delegation led by Mr. Ruiz and comprising its CAO, Tom McCoy and vice-president and Managing Director, AMD Hyderabad Centre, Dasaratha R. Gude explained to the Chief Minister functioning of AMD, a leading global provider of innovative microprocessor and graphics solutions.
AMD has facilities in Hyderabad and Bangalore. AMD Hyderabad is a research and development centre predominantly focussed on consumer electronics, digital televisions and mobile television domain, the delegation informed the Chief Minister.
Dr. Reddy explained to the delegation the various developmental initiatives taken by the government on IT and ITES, semi conductor, infrastructure development, irrigation and health care sectors.
