Free medicare for RTC contract staff, families
HYDERABAD: The Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation on Friday issued orders providing free medicare facilities to contract drivers/conductors and their families, on a par with regular employees, at all RTC dispensaries, including the Tarnaka hospital.
M. Nageswara Rao, general secretary, APSRTC National Mazdoor Union, said in a press release that the free medicare was being extended to the contract staff following its representation.
The management also agreed to stop the recovery of ESI contribution towards medical expenditure. Mr. Rao and Syed Mahmood, working president, appealed to the management to refund the collected ESI contribution.
