VISAKHAPATNAM: Maharashtra medium pacer Aditya Dole put his team in driver’s seat with a six-wicket haul against Rajasthan on the first day of the four-day pre-quarterfinal match of the all-India under-22 tournament for the C.K. Nayudu Trophy at the Zinc stadium here on Friday. Rajasthan, which restricted Maharashtra to 171 in its first innings with medium pacer Mohan Singh taking five wickets and off-spinner Madhur Katri two, found Dole’s medium pace difficult to handle as it started its reply. He grabbed all the wickets as Rajasthan struggled to 76 for six at close. Punjab was 84 for two in reply to Karnataka’s moderate score of 200 at Port stadium. The scores: Maharashtra 171 in 69 overs (Sangram Atitkar 43, A. Joshi 36, Mohan Singh five for 49) vs. Rajasthan 76 for six in 19 overs (Sanjay Bharti 46 batting, Aditya Dole six for 45). Karnataka 200 in 64 overs (C.M. Gautham 45, Amit Varma 38, Raju Bhatkal 27, Rahul Sharma four for 42, Naresh Gogayan three for 44) vs. Punjab 84 for two in 26 overs (Ishan Dogra 30 batting, Manish Bhatia 30).
