BJP briefs Governor on tribal deaths

HYDERABAD: A BJP delegation has brought to the notice of Governor N.D. Tiwari that over 250 tribals have died of malaria in the agency area of Adilabad district in the last six months. The epidemic affected the victims due to poor living conditions in the Mandals of Utnoor, Jainur, Sirpur (T), Narnoor and Indravelli, the Governor was informed by the delegation led by BJP State president Bandaru Dattatreya. They met Mr. Tiwari with the findings of a party team that toured the Mandals recently. The memorandum handed over to Mr. Tiwari stated that the Government had itself acknowledged over 14,000 tribals being affected by viral fever in 650 villages. The BJP demanded payment of ex-gratia of Rs. 3 lakh each.
