Jammu: The police here have arrested a woman for allegedly cheating people on the pretext of getting them Government jobs. Shakira Mir, a Srinagar resident, was arrested from a city hotel on Friday evening on the basis of complaints lodged by some youths at Nowabad police station , the police said. The complainants alleged that Mir had taken large sums of money on the pretext of arranging Government jobs for them. The police also claimed to have recovered Rs 96,000 from the woman, who was running an NGO “Rural Development Relief Society”.
